“Sarajevo School of High Energy Physics 2011” (SSHEP 2011) will be held at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences, University of Sarajevo from May 11 to May 14, 2011. The School aims at the undergraduate and beginning graduate students who are interested in topics pertaining to High Energy Physics (HEP). All interested students are encouraged to contact the organizers via e-mail as soon as possible. To apply, it is sufficient to send a short Curriculum Vitae and a letter of motivation to any of e-mail addresses listed in CONTACTS.
Organizers will provide financial support for student travel and accommodation. All students who would require support for travel and lodging during the School are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
The School topics include:
- •Accelerator physics: Large Hadron Collider
- •Data analysis in High Energy Physics
- •Standard Model
- •Physics beyond the Standard Model
- •Symmetries in High Energy Physics
- •Astroparticle physics
SSHEP 2011 is the second edition of the Sarajevo School of High Energy Physics. The first Sarajevo School of High Energy Physics was held from May 10 to May 12, 2010 at the Department of Physics of the University of Sarajevo. SSHEP 2011 will feature computer laboratory sessions that would cover the data analysis topics that are relevant for Large Hadron Collider physics.
In order to accommodate as many students as possible from the region the organizers have decided that the language of SSHEP 2011 will be English.
